DC Sunday Drama
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inlet's call it a very ugly version of "joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat" recreated as a musicless "a young life serving god ain't worth living.".
it included a highly fictionalized account of joseph being abused by his brothers for serving god and being loved by jacob.
there was no mention of joseph's dreams that degraded his brothers and father.

OMG Tec - did you really just say this:
Well, JIFB, if you were to teach your son that he could never live in peace... or pilot a plane, or become president (or another country's equivalent to that), or find a loyal wife, or be faithful to a wife when he got one... and he followed your teaching because that is all he knew, then would it not be on you if he never knew that he could do those things?
I thought you were still able to make sense. This isn't isn't even 'straw man' bad - it's just plain borderline nutjob - you're really going there? I had hoped for much better from you. Sorry you're losing it, it's not too late. Come back to reality. You have lost your grasp on what's real. You want so much to believe in the Judeo- Christian concepts that have been perpetuated by religions and revelationists alike - but why is it they only work for ones born in a culture and geographic area that idealized such legends in in recent history (unlike eastern cultures and lands - I mean, if you told me you were from Delhi your posts would certainly have a different meaning)?
Anyway what you said doesn't even make sense, especially if you're trying to reach me personally as nothing about my family situation matches your description. You seemed so nice and not super gullible - you were able to see through the JWs but apparently not nutjob internet presonal revelationist posters. Too bad.

TEC ----- again - what do you mean 'you people' or in your words "our people"?
I'm guessing you're talking about those born of western judeo christian dissent that read crazy ladies' bs about how the big J son of the other big J who was raised as the now dead-then-alive jew messiah (but only seen and heard by those who can hear dog whistles)
For eveyody else - sucks to be you! cuz you don't get it. I know, I know - you had the similars vision with mohammed or your hindu gods and spirits - but, guess what, they're wrong! they're the 'wrong people' - they're not part of 'our people' - why??? born wrong time and wrong place and never went to the right ex-religion website.
How it should've worked: born or converted (or almost converted) to JWs - then got pissed off about something obviously wrong with JWs - then came here - found some lengthy crazy lady's posts about the voices in her head with the 'correct' name of two Jewish spirit dudes - (specifically given to and verified by the lost black jews - see jwn poster marie p or somethin like that) - then recognized your calling and heard some kind of similar auditory hallucinations as explained only by one single poster here on JWN (but not the kind the can be verified as the same so as to corroborate the authentecity for observers) - then claimed your personal acceptance of being chosen by the creator and his son with wierd names that even the Jews don't acknoweldge.
Otherwise - you're not part of "our people" - but hey - even Downey Jr got called ou for trying to be part of 'you people' when he clearly was not.

ATJ is right - I can name multiple ex-missionaries that "got sick" and had to come back home, etc. Glad your www donations are working just like you thought they would be.
Most go back to local congos of their country of origin, often USA (Now I'm thinking in the words of Homer Simpson 'USA, USA, USA!') back on topic... a husband or wife - one of which got 'it' bad - now back home 'helping' out the local cong. What a joke. One guy I know is so messed up he can't give a bible reading. Has to go to multiple 'worldly' doctors for the rest of his life to help him cope.
Another, was in the same class as Awakened at Gilead. Got real sick in Africa - came back, took a job of commercial window cleaning that should have have been bidded out to the most qualified, but somehow, it went to him - hmmm -Jah's direction and blessing or ... religious nepostism???
Another - wife major depression
Another - wife serious African-caused illness - now husband regrets not having learned real job skills and is biiter that he he cleans commercial restaurant ovens for a living (althoug I think he should count his blessings tht he even scored that job).
Oh - and all this is just in one circuit!
Finally - I just found out a semi-retarded guy that I grew up with and was home schooled, is a Gilead missionary in S. America. I wish I was joking.

Sorry aguest - I no longer read posts that take longer than Dirk takes to nail a fade away in under 24 seconds.
I know you love your own voice - the one you claim is someone else's. Get help - like soon.
In the meantime: For tec who said:
"But we are the ones responsible for teaching 'our' people what to believe, think, do... and what is possible, or impossible... so isn't that on us? "
huh???????? You're slowly becoming as batsh$t crazy as aguest - congrats!
All I can say is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAlVKgl_zCQ
Oh and PS - only reason I'm commenting at all is JonathonH totally pwned the personal revelationists - even when they tried to reply afterwards - he still pwned their comments. way to go - great post!

Jehovah helps Haiti earthquake victims ... by printing Bibles - 2011 YB

So according to the YB, Jehovah and Jesus are quite the powerful invisible beings. Hundreds of thousands killed. 154 JWs died. But worry not - help was on the way:
"Shortly after the quake, David Splane of the Govering Body traveled to Haiti to provide comfort and encouragement. Brother Splane, who speaks French [but not Creole?], addressed the brothers at a circuit assembly and met with the Bethel family, missionaries, and circuit overseers. All deeply appreciated his loving concern and the tender care of the Governing Body" p.35 pgph 1
Now if that doesn't show divine intervention the next paragraph will surely convince everybody that God was looking out for Haiti:
"Despite what appeared to be insurmountable obstacles, the New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures in Haitian Creole was completed, printed, and shipped to the branch. The new Bibles arrived just hours before they were to be released at the district convention in July. Throughout the fast moving events of 2010, from the initial relief efforts until now, everyone involved has seen and felt Jehovah's constant guidance and support in ways great and small. Over and over, needed supplies, transportation, and personnel all came together at just the right time and in ways that were too perfect to have been merely coincidental. In the words of one longtime missionary, 'You had to be here to appreciate how clearly Jehovah's hand was in evidence.'"
Now that last sentence by the missionary really nails it. I'm betting that some 100,000+ dead haitians can testify that 'being there' really showed Jehovah's hand.
It also reminds me of that Onion article:

They probably had to replace lots of pictures because the models are no longer approved, exemplary JWs.
I personally know two (from the original book) that are disfellowshiped - both baptised super young at the "encouragement" of their proud JW parents. Don't know if they're still in the book as I haven't seen the updated version.
